Cherry Lime Squeeze

Lime Squeezes are one of my very favs! While I usually add a little grenadine syrup and some fresh lime juice to any lemon-lime flavored soda, I ran acrossed this recipe and had to try it. My family has tested the recipe with both lemon-lime soda and club soda and I have to say that the votes are split. Half of us like the sweeter soda version better and half preferred the milder club soda taste. It just depends on how sweet you like things - but there wasn't anyone who didn't like it both ways. Try it out and see what you think!  It will be such a fun beverage for summertime!

And it is sooo very easy to make! All you need is a few ingredients and you are set!

Cherry Lime Rickey

2 liters of chilled lemon-lime soda or club soda (just depends on how sweet you want it)
1 can frozen limeade concentrate
1 16 oz. jar of marshino cherries
Fresh lime slices

Pour chilled soda and limeade concentrate into a large pitcher. Stir in marschino cherry juice. Serve over ice. Garnish with cherries and lime slices. Use a funnel to pour any leftovers into the empty soda bottle for storage - it won't last forever, but it will help keep the fizziness for a little longer.
